The Hancocks have arrived for their second term in Mexico
City.
We are south-siders now!
We have begun working alongside La Comunidad Cristiana El Camino
(The El Camino Christian Community). El Camino is a church located in the south of Mexico City that was begun about 5
years ago by Steve and Debbie Palich and 4 other families from the Southside Christian Church of Mexico City. But now all
but one of the founding families has either moved away, or even gone on to begin full-time christian ministry elsewhere.
The church is averaging about 40-50 for Sunday morning worship, many of
which are young in their faith. Tonja and Todd have begun working alongside the minister, Arturo Castillo, and his wife
Marti. We have identified 6 areas in which we are going to focus our ministry. These areas include leadership development,
youth/young adult ministry, children's ministry, men's ministry, stewardship/giving, and locating a larger and eventually
permanent building/location.
Please pray for El Camino as we grow in the Lord and reach out
to southern Mexico City.
