The purpose of this webpage is to give you picture of
what God is doing through the ministry of Todd and Tonja Hancock. We will do our best to update it as often as possible.
Please pray for us as we are in the process of adopting Lizzet. She is a beautiful, almost 1-and-a-half-year-old
Mexican girl who has won our hearts and taken her place as a part of our family.

Do you remember the El Camino? You probably wondered as I did…“Is
it a truck, or is it a car?” In 1959, GM introduced the El Camino which
means “The Road”. The Spanish NIV version translates John 14:6 where
Jesus says, “I am the way the truth and the life…” as “el Camino, la verdad,” and “la
vida”. So El Camino can also be understood as “The Way”.
As you know, since November 2006 we have been ministering with La Comunidad Cristiana El Camino (The Way Christian
Community). It’s been quite an adventure to serve Christ in Southern Mexico City.
Along the way God has blessed us tremendously. We’ve also encountered
many bumps in the road and even a few potholes, but God has always been faithful and led the way. And we have appreciated
knowing that so many of our partners in ministry have been “riding shotgun” so to speak. (That’s
just my way of continuing with this analogy and thanking you for your partnership.)
One big obstacle in the road was about 1 ½ years ago when the minister abruptly resigned and many of the congregation
left with him. El Camino then numbered 17 people. However, in July of last year we re-launched the El Camino Church and have steadily grown to averaging 55
involved in our Sunday celebration. We have a strong but small leadership team
of elders and a youth/worship minister. It is exciting to see how the Holy Spirit is working in this community of believers
and causing the growth. We would appreciate your continued prayers for the leaders
and these new followers of Christ.
Please pray for El Camino as we grow in the Lord and reach out
to southern Mexico City.
